In Panipat, Haryana — a region of India with deep roots in textile craft — artisans weave each tapestry on a foot-pedal handloom, just as generations before them did. The yarn is sourced from local markets and mill-dyed before being woven by hand. The artisan group, led primarily by women working from home, directly employs ten artisans and expands to include more women from the village when orders grow. Fair wages, flexible work, and children back in school — this piece is part of that story.
