The Story Behind the Art

This chime was crafted at a family-run workshop in Behat, India — a studio founded in 1976 where the art of metalworking has been passed down through generations. The artisans source sheets of scrap metal from local collectors, transforming what others discard into heirloom-quality pieces. Their signature "Rasai" technique layers brass over wrought iron, creating a beautifully rustic, time-worn finish that is entirely their own.

Because each piece is shaped and finished by hand, slight variations in size, color, and pattern are natural — and a mark of its authenticity. No two are exactly alike.
