Circle of Elephants Soapstone Sculpture, 3 to 3.5-inch
In the wild, when an elephant loses a member of their herd, the others gather round, extend their trunks, and gently touch tusks in solidarity. This sculpture captures that moment — a circle of elephants, trunk to trunk, a reminder that those around you offer support to help you heal.
Hand-carved from a single piece of Kisii soapstone by artisans in southwestern Kenya, it’s a meaningful gift for someone going through a difficult time — or simply a beautiful piece for anyone who loves elephants and the stories they carry.
- Dimensions: Approx. 3" tall × 3–3.5" diameter (slight variation natural)
- Stone: Kisii soapstone — natural tones in brown, grey, and black
- Finish: Multi-stage hand-sanding and waxing for a smooth, satiny surface
- Fair trade — safe workplaces, fair wages, community investment
The Story Behind the Art
Kisii soapstone exists nowhere else on earth but the hills of southwestern Kenya. Artisans mine it by hand and carve each piece with patience and skill. Every sculpture is a Fair Trade creation that supports living wages and the communities where these artisans live and work.
Each piece is carved from natural stone — no two are identical in color or character.
